Awakening-Informed Trauma Care + Trauma-Informed Awakening

Dynamic

trauma

Life is not stagnant. Life is inherently impermanent, lucid, luminous, responsive, spontaneous, alive, and conscious. On the subtlest and grandest levels, life is in motion.

+

Parts of life are inherently impacted by other parts of life. When one part of life is threatened there is an automatic, reflexive, response towards protection and survival. When the threat cannot be processed it traumatizes, and when enough trauma happens the sense of ‘self’ can fundamentally shift. This shift does not have to be permanent, and can in fact be reconciled. The study of complex/developmental trauma demonstrates how important, complicated, sensitive, layered, multifaceted, flexible, and resilient ‘self’ is fundamentally. Looked at through a broad lens, it also demonstrates how ‘self’ is not at the core of life. It is just one part, like drop of water in a vast ocean.

+

integration

Life is inherently interconnected and cannot be separated. Life at its core is beyond dualistic understanding. The ordinary reflects the non-ordinary. Self reflects the other. Past reflects the future and is nothing but the present. Hate reflects love, challenge reflects opportunity, and trauma reflects wholeness.

Embodied transformation from person to presence

There is a HUGE difference between being alive and living. Being alive is a state of survival where one has difficulty accessing greater awareness, consciousness, and interconnection. Living has an aliveness, a vitality, that is much bigger than an individual person, although an individual person experiences it. Traditional Chinese Medicine refers to this as Chi.

Living requires an intimacy with presence- presence to all living creatures across time and space. Self moves out of survival mode, and life’s essence takes center stage. Internal and external experiences become less solid, less separate, less stuck; more flexible, more whole, and more workable. Yes, it is possible. Realized beings across cultures and traditions have been doing it for thousands of years, and you can too. The method and philosophy of Dynamic Trauma Integration helps you move from focusing on ego self to presence. It helps people integrate multifaceted experiences, internal and external, over time. By living in presence, people reach new levels of 'beingness' in this fast-paced and challenging time in the world.
