The good days are more frequent. And still, underneath it all, there is a version of yourself that hasn't quite arrived yet. The passage from what is known — the familiar story of who you are and how you survive — into what is unknown, and through it into what has always been known but not recognized, is real work. It is some of the most disorienting, necessary, and ultimately liberating work a human being can do. And it is exactly the kind of work most therapy wasn't built to hold.

You might be wondering: why focus on dissociation and trauma if you don't feel like someone who's "really messed up"? Because dissociation isn't a sign of brokenness. It is a natural part of being human — the same disconnection that happens when you daydream or get lost in thought. It exists on spectrum of severity. Day dreaming can be helpful and won’t ruin your life. More severe clinical-level dissociation is another experience all together. The more you know about how you dissociate, the easier it becomes to stay connected to yourself and the world around you. It doesn’t have to be bad in order for working with it to be beneficial. Similarly, trauma work helps whether or not you believe you've experienced trauma: most people who have, don't recognize it as such, and trauma often gets stored and expressed in ways that have nothing obvious to do with its source — emotional eating is a common example.
What makes this work different is not just the framework — though Dynamic Trauma Integration goes further than most trauma approaches in both theory and practice. What makes it different is the quality of presence in the room. As you move through the unknown, my nervous system becomes an anchor for yours. You do not have to hold the vigilance alone. You do not have to watch for danger by yourself. For a time — as long as it takes — I watch. And in that holding, something begins to shift. The hypervigilance that kept you alive slowly softens. The unknown begins to feel less like a threat and more like a threshold.
This is coregulation. It is ancient. And it is the mechanism through which genuine healing — not just better functioning, but a fundamentally different relationship with yourself and with life — becomes possible.

No. PTSD and complex trauma show up in wildly different ways - difficulty regulating emotions, disconnecting from your body, trouble learning or finishing tasks, not having a stable personality, even trouble having fun. The diagnosis is not the point.; understanding yourself well enough to live the life you actually want, instead of the one your past set up for you, is. And even without a formal trauma history, most people in modern life are carrying some version of toxic stress, loss of community, repeated exposure to violence, impossible tradeoffs (feed your kids or keep your health insurance), and systemic inequality. Trauma therapy here can help you meet all of that honestly.
Also, traumatology (the study of trauma) has come a long way in the last 70ish years. A lot of what professionals have learned about trauma can be applied to other issues now. Life is hard and in the modern age we are reckoning with stuff that we haven’t had to before. Even if you do not believe you have experienced trauma, you can likely benefit from being in trauma therapy here. Most people in modern life are experiencing toxic stress, loss of identity, loss of community, repeated exposure to violence (in real life or via media), complex moral and ethical dilemmas (e.g. feed your kids or have health insurance), pervasive power inequality (e.g. racism), and difficulty connecting with a deeper meaning of life. Trauma therapy here will help you deal with this in a holistic and honest way.

Yes. I offer integration support and collaborate with other healers. I do not offer psychedelic-assisted therapy or guide plant medicine journeys myself. As someone in long-term recovery, working directly with substances isn’t my path, 25+ years of meditation and yoga have shown me that releasing what binds you doesn’t require them. That said, I fully support psychedelics-assisted therapy and plant medicine when it’s administered wisely, within a system that can hold the whole person through the process. I have worked alongside traditional and modern healers around the world who do this beautifully. Substances help people cope with real things, and like anything else, they have their limits worth respecting. I practice harm reduction and hold no judgment around substance use.

As you move from dissociation toward more presence, your relationship to safety changes in ways that can feel disorienting before they feel liberating. What kept you safe before — the familiar, the controlled, the known — begins to reveal its limits. And the unknown, which your nervous system learned to treat as enemy, begins to reveal itself as something else entirely: the threshold to what you actually are.
This is not a comfortable passage. It was never meant to be. But it is a navigable one — and the skill at the center of navigating it is learning to distinguish between safety and comfort, between distress and actual danger. Not all discomfort means something is wrong. Not all unfamiliarity means threat. As that discernment grows, you'll find you can stay present even while uncomfortable — and still recognize real unsafety the moment it's actually there.
This requires leaving behind either/or thinking — safe or unsafe, fine or falling apart — and learning to live in the full spectrum of experience. Not the extremes. The middle. The shades of grey where real life actually happens.
Dynamic Trauma Integration therapy builds that capacity across 4 Layers of Presence simultaneously — not as stages to complete, but as dimensions of experience that are always available and always inseparable.
